Weddings at the Moorcock

We take great pride in the preparation of all our functions held at the Moorcock Inn, especially for the many weddings held here and work hard to ensure the perfect atmosphere is created for you and your guests.

We are also licensed to hold civil ceremonies in our beautiful surroundings and have all the facilities required to accommodate all your guests. With its stylish décor and air conditioning, the Ballroom offers formal seating for approximately 120 guests for the Wedding Breakfast and 200 guests for the Evening Reception, with a private licensed bar until 1.00am. In terms of the food on offer we have splendid set menus, excellent carved or finger buffets and of course, you are also able to select your own dishes to create your own bespoke wedding menu.

Just to give you an idea of how your day would unfold........should you choose to only select the Moorock for your Reception you will be greeted on arrival by your Master of Ceremonies, who will be a member of our team, or an independent Toastmaster of your choice. They will look after you throughout the day, will announce speeches and the serving of the meal and will generally guide you through your day and ensure all runs perfectly. After the formal proceedings for the day have finished we usually require an hour to refresh the room for the evening. This time allows you and your guests time to relax before the evening celebrations begin. The main bar will be open in the hotel during this time.
