The Moorcock Inn is ideally placed to explore the beautiful Ribble Valley, the town of Clitheroe with its famous castle and market is only a short drive away. The whole area is steeped in history with Stonyhurst College, Browsholme Hall and Whalley Abbey nearby and the Hotel itself is over 100 years old. The Lake District and Manchester are only an hours drive away, with Skipton, Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales all within easy reach.
The Moorcock has recently undergone an extensive refit and refurbishment: an ambitious plan that has enhanced every aspect of the hotel, with the sole objective of improving the quality of service and guest facilities.
We have 13 bedrooms including a luxury executive suite and sumptuous family room all with fantastic views over the Ribble Valley, tea and coffee making facilities, and colour televisions. Whether you are away on business or for a romantic weekend, with or without children, we will make your stay an enjoyable one.
Our head chef has produced a mouth-watering array of menus using fresh local produce wherever possible to suit all tastes and occasions.
The main bar area is a relaxed space to enjoy an informal meal; a more formal dining experience is available in the Garden Restaurant. We have a fun play area for children in our extensive gardens, where food can also be served when the sun shines!
The Moorcock Inn also has a well established reputation as a Wedding venue and is licensed for Civil Ceremonies. It offers a variety of function rooms from small intimate gatherings through to large events held in the stunning ballroom.
We cater for conferences, business meetings, presentations or private parties. The ballroom seating approximately 140 or the restaurant and coffee lounge for more intimate functions of between 10 and 45 guests.
